CTL Cargo Trans Logistik awarded with CrefoZert again
The company
CTL Cargo Trans Logistik AG is a general cargo cooperation for freight forwarders that offers customised solutions for the transport of the goods throughout Germany and Europe. The AG’s transhipment places act as HUBs and collection points for the affiliated cooperation partners. With its close-meshed and comprehensive network of currently 172 system partners and a geographically favourable HUB alignment, CTL ensures short routes and the bundling of consignments for the benefit of utilised, cost-efficient and economically sensible shipments. In addition to the main handling facility in Homberg Efze, the AG’s HUB-and-spoke-system includes four regional transhipment places.
The regional presence achives both time and cost savings in the delivery of goods and thus a nationwide flexible capacity to act for the logistics partners. The partnerships with renowned forwarding companies promote the reliably organised and coordinated transport of goods. Through a specially developed and forward-looking IT system, the company enables its partners’ customers to have a seamless tracking system on the goods in real time.
CTL in the year of the pandemic
The strong fluctuations in the pandemic year 2020 were also huge and demanding for the general cargo cooperations. Differences of over 30% between the strongest and weakest phases at CTL demanding a high degree of adaptability and action. Already at the beginning of the first lockdown, the AG therefore implemented internal early warning systems in order to reduce reaction times and to be able to act more flexible in operational terms. “Overall, we succeeded well. We did not have to temporarily take any of the five transhipment places out of operation. The entire network was available to the partners throughout the year. Furthermore, the network coverage was 100% at all times,” reports CTL CEO Francesco De Lauso.
Despite the pandemic-related challenges, CTL Cargo Trans Logistik AG has an excellent ballance sheet rating as well as an outstanding credit rating nd thus fulfils all certification criteria for the CrefoZert.
