Brief portrait of our new collegues

The expectations placed on the operational processes of our five CTL locations are constantly increasing. New demands are coming from the network and the market, and the new CTL products demand a high level of attention in a day-to-day business. In view of the strategic furhter development of the network, the upcoming quality offensive, which should make an important contribution to keeping the quality within CTL AG constantly high, and last but not least the digitalisation, which is increasingly finding its way into the transport industry, it was clear that we also had to get personnel support.

The expansion of the team began with the addition of Mr. Thorsten Sutt (on the left). He took over responsibility for the operational area at the beginning of the year as head of network operations. Mr. Sutt has worked as the managing director of a production and trading company for the past few years and thus has more than 25 years of forwarding and general cargo experience, during which he worked as a branch manager in companies such as Danzas, TNT and DSV. His responsibilities span all five CTL hubs. Accordingly, Mr. Sutt is the contact person for our partners on operational issues.

At the beginning of May 2021, we were able to record two new additions at the same time:

Mr. Guido Söffker (on the right) started as our new IT manager. Mr. Söffker has worked as a managing director in the areas of logistics and IT in a forwarding company in the past years and he has general cargo, cooperation and IT experience. In the past, he has modernised IT infrastructures and digitalised logistic processes, among other things. He will contribute his special knowledge in the areas of TMS, interface programming, databases and Internet technologies on the IT department at CTL alongside Mr. Jonas Eckhardt. He will be responsible for the further development of system applications and will be available to CTL partners as a contact person.

Furthermore, we have been able to win Mr. Markus Richter (in the middle) for our dispatch department. Mr. Richter has more than 15 years of experience in the general cargo and cooperation market. At CTL, he will take over long-distance transport scheduling and dangerous goods management. He will be responsible for the surplus management in direct contact with the partners and internally support the line planning. He will also be actively involved in various project such as the implementation of multi-hub transports.

We are looking forward to a great coopertion with our new and experienced collegues in the numerous projects we have planned. We wish them a good start in our team and the entire CTL network.
