CTL expands network with T+S Helmrath at two locations

Increased efficiency, shorter forwarding distances, and lower shipping costs: Our collaboration with T+S Helmrath Logistik GmbH has been strengthened, allowing our network partners to benefit from several advantages. The Helmrath branch in Wilsdruff is now connected to our regional hub in Leipzig, while we have established a new line to our regional hub in Düsseldorf with the branch in Bingen. This expansion broadens our service area and ensures even better and more reliable network coverage.

Reduction of forwarding distance by more than 50 kilometers
The T+S Helmrath Logistik GmbH site in Wilsdruff has been fully integrated into CTL, leading to a reduction of more than 50 kilometers in distances within the region. The delivery routes now fall into the shortest on-carriage category, which also lowers shipping costs to Dresden. “T+S Helmrath’s decision to fully integrate its new location into CTL confirms the clear development and growth strategy that the network has pursued for many years,” emphasizes our CEO Francesco De Lauso.

Extended cooperation around Mainz
Additionally, the Helmrath location in Bingen, near Mainz, will open a new line to our West-HUB in Düsseldorf. “Thanks to the expanded cooperation, we can now connect the area around Bingen, Mainz, and Wiesbaden to the West-HUB. This gives us an even broader and more efficient foundation for future growth in this region,” adds De Lauso.

T+S Helmrath: services along the supply chain
T+S Helmrath Logistik GmbH, headquartered in Bingen, offers comprehensive services along the entire supply chain. It provides both traditional transportation services, with more than 40 of its own trucks, and custom-tailored solutions in the area of contract logistics, including the picking, packing, and storage of goods in block and rack storage facilities covering over 10,000 square meters.

Leveraging mutual synergies
Torsten Riotte, authorized signatory of T+S Helmrath GmbH, commented on the closer cooperation: “For us, the expansion of the partnership with CTL is the next logical step in our collaboration, allowing us to unlock new strengths together. Strong partnerships are essential for our targeted growth, even beyond our region. With CTL, we can rely on a nationwide general cargo network, while they benefit from our regional presence. We are now in a position to leverage these synergies even further.”
