CTL partners with Portuguese logistics expert Santos e Vale
We are expanding our connections to the Iberian Peninsula and welcome Santos e Vale Internacional as an optimally networked partner. With three departures per week from our central HUB in Homberg/Efze, we are able to offer even better transit times and more favorable rates.
Further Milestone in Internationalization
The partnership with the Portuguese logistics expert based in Lisbon concludes a successful year of new collaborations. We now work with 27 international partners, covering 30 European countries in total. “Santos e Vale is an absolute expert on the Iberian Peninsula,” emphasizes Abraham Garcia Martinez, CFO of CTL AG, and adds: “With this partnership, we are strengthening our connections to the strategically important markets of Portugal and Spain, offering our partners more attractive conditions than ever before.”

New Departures from central HUB Homberg
The expanded connection to the Iberian Peninsula, including an additional departure day from the central HUB represents another step towards internationalization. Santos e Vale itself is part of a network and operates a total of 26 HUBs – 24 in Portugal and two in Spain. In particular, our new partner’s central HUB in Madrid and its network access in Spain provide all of our partners with new attractive transit times and rates. Meanwhile, customers of Santos e Vale also benefit from a stable connection to the German market.
The partnership with Santos e Vale marks the expansion of our activities on the Iberian Peninsula. For over a year, we have been successfully working with the Spanish logistics specialist SEITRANS SA, ensuring reliable and competitive deliveries to Spain and the Catalonia region via the West HUB in Düsseldorf.
Destinations reached within 48 hours
With the integration of the Homberg Central HUB, the transit time is now reduced to 48 hours. This development builds on the establishment of our operations in Spain through the partnership with SEITRANS SA. “As a result, our partners’ demand for more regular connections to the Iberian Peninsula has steadily grown. To meet these needs, we have deliberately expanded our routes with Santos e Vale. This expansion underscores our ambition to focus even more on international markets in the coming years,” says Garcia Martinez.
Leading Logistics Network in Portugal
Santos e Vale Internacional specializes in land, sea, and air transport and operates a fleet of 900 vehicles which carry out over 9,500 deliveries daily. The company has been in operation for more than 40 years and claims the largest logistics network in Portugal, with 24 domestic HUBs and two HUBs in Spain. Additionally, the logistics specialist offers a wide range of value-added services.
