Successful certification of CTL AG according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and HACCP
In 2015, certification in quality management according to ISO standard 9001:2015 was reintroduced at the CTL head office and at all handling facilities. This management system is continuously audited by DEKRA every year and this year, too, the recertification was successfully completed in October.
The increasing environmental awareness, which can be heard in the economy and can be found in all industries, is something we also try to implement in our company in targeted measures. So we also felt addressed to illuminate and optimise our hall processes under environmental aspects.
Certification according to ISO standard 14001
In all our activities we attach great importance to saving resources. In the area of transport, we are constantly trying to optimise the capacity utilisation of the lines and to give preference to trucks with EURO 6 engines when purchasing from external companies.
By building a photovoltaic system in Homberg Efze, the largest CTL location and at the same time our headquarters, we will be able to produce 50% of our electricity consumption climate-neutrally ourselves. For this reason, we will also switch our gas-powered industrial trucks to electric-powered equipment.
In the commercial area, too, all employees have committed themselves in a self-obligation declaration to an economical way of working and the reduction of energy consumption. Conscious consumption of paper, electricity, water, heat and strict waste separation are small contributions of the individual on which the environmental management system is based. As part of the CTL environmental policy, some colleagues have even switched to e-bikes. Our trainees are working in their “Green Logistics Project” on further proposals for an easy-to-integrate and more sustainable way of working in all areas of the company. Regular updates remind both commercial and industrial employees of their responsibility towards the environment.
The audit by DEKRA that took place showed that we are on the right track. We successfully passed the certification according to ISO standard 14001 (environmental management).
Certification according to HACCP
Since we only handle packaged and non-temperature-controlled foodstuffs in the CTL system, we introduced the HACCP specifications at the beginning of June this year and have also been successfully certified in this area.
As part of the company’s own control concept, the CTL employees are familiarised in regular training sessions with safety measures to minimise and avoid health hazards in the food processing process, so that the HACCP requirements become a routine part of the daily work processes.
We are very pleased to be able to provide our partners with a further argument to attract new customers from the food industry or to provide their existing customers with safety in handling food within the transport chain.
